We use a professional grade epoxy system of exceptional quality that is UV stable and delivers a high-build crystal clear, water-like finish over your designs. Our epoxy business cards, aka resin business cards are available in virtually unlimited colors and designs. It is an excellent option for artists, and artisans, or someone who wants a completely unique and eye-watering business card. Epoxy resins are popular in coating, bonding, and a variety of other applications, but due to new printing press technology we can now turn your designs in to custom shapes like business cards using an epoxy resin coating as part of the design.
Resign business cards are resistant to yellowing, fading, and cracking when used properly. Our epoxy resin is exceptionally durable, and it can survive heavy use in high-traffic areas such as nightclubs, bars, and restaurants without cracking or peeling, so it’s perfect for business cards. Due to the fact that epoxy is self-leveling, it can be built up in 3mm layers to any required thickness with relative ease. Epoxy is a crystal clear resin, with a high gloss surface which lets you create designs that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing when on exhibit. The self-leveling formula is simple to work with and has good color consistency, making it a great choice for first timers working with this material.
In contrast to other epoxy resins on the market, we use an eco-friendly epoxy resin that contains bio content and does not include any hazardous chemical compounds or heavy metals. As a result, Our epoxy resin cards are designed to resist ambering induced by sunshine and to withstand scratching as well as water and alcohol, resulting in a long lasting, maintenance-free protection for your surface.

What is CMYK?
In offset printing, the standard color mode used in CMYK. CMYK, or Cyan, Magenta, Yellow & Black represent the four process colours in this mode. When you are creating your files, be sure to check the color mode as programs like Photoshop by default use RBG color, not CMYK. CMYK may look more dull on a computer screen than RGB; more noticeable in large solid color areas.
Accepted File Formats
We require industry standard formats for all uploaded files. We keep quality in mind when we print every job. We accept the following file formats: TIF – JPG – PDF – EPS – PSD. We accept CorelDraw, Pagemaker & Quark or similar files by converting them to industry standard graphic formats like JPG, TIF or PDF.
Rich Black vs 100% Black
Large black areas or fonts bigger than 36 points should use Rich Black which stops areas appearing gray. Rich Black is created with 30% Cyan, 30% Magenta, 30% Yellow, 100% Black. This setup will keep black areas looking rich and bold. For best results with regular body text, do not use Rich Black.
What Paper to Choose?
Paper should be addressed first in your design work. With postcards, the best option is to choose a thicker cardstock instead of a thinner text weight. The difference between these 2 types of paper is thickness. Our text weight is based on pounds and our card stock is weighted by points. Want to feel the difference? Order a Free Sample Kit today.
What is Font Outlining?
We might not have the same fonts on our systems as your computer, so when saving your files in a vector based program (Illustrator, InDesign, Quark, CorelDraw) please outline your fonts. This will convert them to a vector image, will not effect the clarity and will allow us to see the same text as you see on your screen.
Coating Types
We have many coating options at Printing New York. Matte, UV, silk and spot UV. Choose the coating based on your application. For example, if you want to write on your cards with a pen, do not choose UV coating as a pen won’t write on it. In this case a matte or uncoated stock coating would suit. Choose UV coating for flyers or banners and our rich silk gives a touch of elegance; 16pt stock a more durable feeling.
FAQs
What resolution should my files be for printing?
When printing, 300 PPI is the best print resolution for digital printers. The design of a file with a resolution below 300 PPI will result in blurring and pixelization. On the other hand, you should not design with a resolution higher than 300 PPI. As far as the eye can see, there will be no difference in print quality. It will also make your file much larger (increase file upload/transfer time).
We always recommend 300 PPI drawings to print, but we also know that sometimes you do not have the ability to edit your drawings. If you cannot print your files with a resolution of 300 PPI, you will have to take some measures to ensure that a lower resolution works for you.
We recommend that you set the resolution in your graphics editor (i.e. Photoshop) to 300 PPI before you start drawing your file. Increasing the resolution after the start will still result in blurring/pixelation.
How are my artworks checked?
All the work is checked by our team before printing. If we have any problems with the files, we will contact you and advise you how to change the format. Please note that conversion of both color and size mode will be done automatically without prior information.
During the analysis of the illustrations, we check
– if the files are presented in one of the accepted formats (PDF, JPG, TIFF, EPS or PS).
– if the number of pages is correct
– if the file supplied is greyscale (only if you have ordered a color print)
– if the file is the right size (otherwise we will scale your work to the desired size, however, this may result in a reduction in resolution. No additional bleeding will be added to the process either).
– if the drill lines have been specified
– if the appropriate fonts have been incorporated into the file.
Why do my artwork files need bleed?
To ensure that there are no white areas on the printed product, all files submitted should have a 2mm bleed on each side. This means that your design (both images and graphics) should always be 2mm larger than the actual print format. Failure to do so may result in slight variations, resulting in white margins. To ensure that the fonts and essential elements of your drawing are visible, place them at least 3mm away from the final format (not including bleeding) and do not use edges as edges in layouts.
Optional:
– If you are submitting data for printing in an open format, the bleed should be 4mm on each side (e.g. A4 size including bleed should be 301×214mm).
– If you are submitting files for presentation folders, banners, monthly calendars, packaging or any other promotional technology products, please prepare a file with 3mm bleed on each side
– Envelopes should be supplied with a 1mm bleed.
– The textile elastic frames must be bled 15mm.
If you need more information, please consult our artwork instructions.
What file types can my artwork be?
You can upload files in the following formats:
JPG, PDF, EPS, TIFF, PS (PostScript)
Make sure that your PDF file is saved directly from your graphics program in standard PDF/X format (PDF/X3 or PDF/X1a). To avoid problems with layers and transparencies during the printing process, it is recommended to use the “1.3 compatibility” setting when saving artworks.
If you are sending TIFF files, be sure to reduce the number of layers to one.
To avoid problems with color variation or printed image, please do not use pre-separated data from DCS EPS.

Are you an eco-friendly printer?
Yes we are! We offer the widest range of eco-friendly printing products available in New York using soy ink, including recycled business cards, brochures, presentation folders, sales sheets, stationery, catalogs, flyers, calendars and more. Recycled paper is now our standard stock.
Historically, the printing industry has had a poor reputation for caring for the environment, with excessive use of water and electricity, paper waste and the use of volatile chemicals resulting in toxic waste. Protecting the environment is one of New York Print’s major concerns, and we strive to put our planet first.
And this is how Print New York is making a difference:
– Using soy-based inks
– Use of recycled paper stocks as standard
– Printing methods, such as duplex printing, that reduce paper usage
– Modern machines that significantly reduce energy consumption
– Elimination of toxic and volatile chemicals
– Alcohol-free presses
– We recycle redundant machines and computer parts.
– We recycle our printing plates, press blankets, bottles, cans and containers

Unique Printing Effects
Exclusive to our metal business cards.
Etching
Etching is exclusively available on our metal cards. When applied on our stainless steel cards, it gives them a slightly recessed appearance and a matte surface. If used in conjunction with a spot color, it is a lovely and luxurious finishing for details and designs on metal cards, and it is very eye-catching if used with spot-colors.
Laser Engraving
Laser engraving produces a finish that is truly one-of-a-kind. A laser, which is used most commonly on our metal cards, burns away the desired design, creating an interesting finish with varying colors depending on where the surface has been carved off. The completed result, for example, on our black duplex uncoated card materials, gives the appearance of a deep depressed ‘bronze’ finish. On our stainless and gold metal cards, you will see a silver finish, and on our black metal cards, you will see a bronze finish.
Cut-Through Die Cutting
Cut through die cutting allows you to create one-of-a-kind adaptations for your cards. The ability to cut accurately and elaborately through our metal cards allows for the creation of both basic and complicated designs, resulting in an eye-catching and attractive final product. Use it to add decorations to the inside of your card design, or to give your cards rounded corners or a unique form.
Spot Coloring
Spot coloring is a technique that allows for the addition of bright solid colors on metal cards. If possible, spot coloring should be used in conjunction with etching for the best results, while it can be used on its own with the correct design. Spot color is a great way to give your metal card designs a distinctive look or a special hue.
Variable Data
Variable data enables for the inclusion of unique details on each card that are distinct from the others. Business cards for more than one individual with the identical logos and address details, or membership cards with each card having its own unique membership number. A variety of variable data is accessible on our metal cards, and it can be laser etched or applied in one color using a spot color.
Frost & Prism Finish
Our distinctive frost or prism front finishing, which is only available on our luxury black metal card collection, results in a lovely textured and finger print resistant finish that is both elegant and durable. When using prism finishing, you may create micro geometric patterns on the card, whereas frost finishing creates a faint texture all over the card. Our luxurious black metal card collection, available in prism or frost finishes, makes an elegant and dramatic statement.
Mirror Finish
Our gold, rose gold, and stainless steel metal cards have a delightfully sumptuous feel thanks to the use of mirror finishing, which creates a highly shiny and polished surface that reflects light brilliantly. The final product is elegant and beautiful, thanks to the use of mirror finishing.
Original Finish
Our stainless steel metal card material has a unique polish that distinguishes it from the competition. It is not as reflective as mirror finishing, but it does have a distinctive ‘metal’ appearance and an attractive sheen to it that makes it stand out. It has a similar appearance to the finish seen on most high-end stainless steel appliances and tools.
Brushed Finish
Our metal card assortment includes three different types of finishes, the third of which is brushed. This finish produces a very delicate linear brush pattern across the surface of the card that has not been etched. Cardstock with huge quantities of etching or large amounts of un-etched surface are the best candidates for this technique.

Exceptional business cards. I looked at several high-end options online and calculated that I would have to pay four times the price. These cards are very lovely. Bright gold foil with a gold foil border on thick matte black card material. Even the card design component is a feature that costs $75 – $100 on other sites. Within one day of purchasing, we had a gorgeous design decided out, and these were truly sent from across the world two weeks later. I’ll buy from you again!

It was a pleasure to work with Printing New York! They were extremely flexible, quick to respond, made sure my cards arrived on time because we were on a tight schedule, and also gave design recommendations/advice based on what would print best. Not just for modest, personal orders, I HIGHLY recommend them. I purchased thousands for everyone who needs them at my company, a total of 17,800 cards, and I am quite happy.
