Paper is a flimsy, fragile material constantly exposed to external influences, which might lead to its creasing and cracking. In printing it is to be avoided at all costs and one of the methods of protecting paper from physical damage is scoring.
Scoring is a simple method and consists in making a long linear crease along a sheet, which facilitates folding and prevents paper from cracking when folded. There are two types of scoring: inline and offline. The former is carried out during the process of printing by a printing press, while the latter may be performed manually after printing using some ordinary equipment.
Printing New York offers both options of the service depending on printed material and your own needs and preferences.
